For Case Managers

You're doing more with less every day.

Case managers and social workers carry enormous caseloads, often with very few practical resources to offer families beyond the system itself. When you know a family needs a meal, a birthday celebration, or a welcome kit for a new placement — you shouldn't have to figure out how to make that happen alone.

Becoming Kin will be the resource you can call. We'll do the coordinating. You just make the referral.

How It Will Work

The referral process.

One form starts a human process. We stay accountable through every step.

1

Submit a referral

Share what a family needs. You don't need to provide identifying information at this stage.

2

We review it

Hogan will review every referral personally. We'll reach out to confirm details and timeline.

3

We coordinate

We'll match the referral to a volunteer who can meet the need and handle the logistics.

4

The family is supported

The volunteer delivers the support. We follow up and stay available for next steps.

Questions From Case Managers

Common questions.

What happens after I submit a referral?

Right now, during our founding phase, we're collecting referrals to begin work with as soon as we activate (expected Summer 2026). You'll receive a personal response from Hogan confirming we've received it.

Is the referral confidential?

Yes. We'll never share identifying information about a family without explicit consent. Volunteers are given only the information they need to complete a specific project.

What can Becoming Kin provide that other organizations can't?

We're built specifically for the practical, everyday needs that fall through the cracks: celebrations, meals, supply drives, welcome kits. We're not a crisis service — we're a community support layer.

Can families self-refer?

Not directly. Our model is built on case manager referrals because we want to make sure every project is coordinated with someone who knows the family's situation.

How are partner businesses recognized?

We publicly recognize our founding business partners on our website. Their donations are acknowledged at every event and in our communications.
